Personal Details

Date of birth: May 9, 1995
Probable cause affidavit: SUBMITTED BY: TAYLOR, TROY 0700 (AR13-6342) DID UNLAWFULLY AND KNOWINGLY TAKE, OBTAIN OR USE OR ENDEAVOR TO TAKE, OBTAIN OR USE THE PROPERTY OF WAL-MART, TO WIT: VARIOUS ARTICLES OF CLOTHING AND ACCESSORIES, BY CARRYING AWAY THE SAID MERCHANDISE, WITH INTENT TO TEMPORARILY OR PERMANENTLY DEPRIVE, A MERCHANT, OF THE POSSESSION, USE, BENEFIT, OR FULL RETAIL VALUE OF SAID PROPERTY, SAID PROPERTY BEING OF A VALUE OF LESS THAN $300.00, TO WIT: ACTUAL VALUE BEING $66.50 (WITH TAX), IN VIOLATION OF FLORIDA STATE STATUTES 812.015, 812.014(1), AND 812.014(3)(A). ON 070613, I WAS DISPATCHED TO 1936 NORTH LECANTO HIGHWAY TO THE WAL-MART STORE IN REFERENCE TO A RETAIL PETIT THEFT WHICH HAD ALREADY OCCURRED, WITH A FEMALE IN CUSTODY. UPON ARRIVAL I MET WITH ASSET PROTECTION ASSOCIATE, MR BRIAN ELAM, WHO STATED HE HAD OBSERVED A FEMALE WHO WAS IDENTIFIED AS THE ARRESTED SUBJECT, MS AMELIA E TEACHMAN, IN THE WOMAN’S DEPARTMENT OF THE STORE DISPLAYING, WHAT MR ELAM DESCRIBED AS SUSPICIOUS BEHAVIOR. MR ELAM STATED THAT THE FEMALE SUBJECT SELECTED CLOTHING ITEMS AND THEN WALKED TO THE SHOE DEPARTMENT WHERE SHE SELECTED A LARGE BLACK AND WHITE PURSE, THEN WENT BACK INTO THE AREA NEAR THE CLOTHING AND SHOE SECTION. MR ELAM OBSERVED THE FEMALE SUBJECT REMOVE ALL OF THE TAGS FROM THE VARIOUS ITEMS, PUT THEM ALL INTO THE BLACK AND WHITE PURSE, AND THEN PROCEED TO WALK PAST ALL POINTS OF SALE, WHERE SHE THEN EXITED THE STORE AND THEN ENTERED A LIGHT BLUE COLORED CHEVROLET IMPALA VEHICLE, AND THEN EMPTIED THE ITEMS FROM THE PURSE INTO THE VEHICLE, AND THEN RETURNED TO THE STORE. AS MS TEACHMAN RE- ENTERED THE STORE MR ELAM STOPPED THE FEMALE SUBJECT, IDENTIFYING HIMSELF AND EXPLAINED THE REASON HE WAS STOPPING HER. THE FEMALE SUBJECT COOPERATED AND SHE RETURNED ALL OF THE ITEMS TO MR ELAM. MR ELAM THEN ESCORTED THE FEMALE TO THE ASSET PROTECTION OFFICE AND CONTACTED THIS AGENCY. ALL OF THE PROPERTY WAS RETAINED BY THE WAL-MART STORE AND PHOTOGRAPHED BY THE ASSET PROTECTION OFFICER, MR BRIAN ELAM, TO BE HELD AS PHOTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE OF THE ITEMS TAKEN. I THEN NOTIFIED MS TEACHMAN THAT SHE WAS UNDER ARREST FOR RETAIL PETIT THEFT. SHE WAS HANDCUFFED BEHIND HER BACK, DOUBLE LOCKED, PLACED IN THE REAR SEAT OF MY PATROL VEHICLE AND CONVEYED TO THE CITRUS COUNTY DETENTION FACILITY FOR BOOKING AND PROCESSING. A COPY OF THE WAL-MART RECEIPT AND THE WRITTEN STATEMENT WAS COLLECTED FROM ASSET PROTECTION AGENCY ELAM AND FORWARDED TO RECORDS. THE DEFENDANT WAS CHARGED WITH ONE COUNT OF RETAIL PETIT THEFT WITH HER BOND SET AT $250.00 PER THE BOND SCHEDULE.
