| Comments: | In 1986, Andre Brigham YOUNG was convicted of RAPE 1ST DEGREE in King County. Official file documents indicate the victim (a stranger to YOUNG) was at home with her three children (all under the age of five). She responded to a knock at the door, whereupon YOUNG forcibly entered and threatened the victim in front of her children. YOUNG made the children wait in the other room while he took the adult-female victim into another room and raped her. In 1977, YOUNG was convicted of RAPE 3RD DEGREE in King County. Official file documents indicate the victim was sleeping on her couch when she was awakened by a man (YOUNG), wearing a mask over his face, who told her not to make any loud noises and that he was going to rape her. YOUNG raped the victim and was later arrested outside the victim's residence. In 1963, YOUNG was convicted on 4 counts of RAPE 1st DEGREE in Pierce County. Official file documents indicate YOUNG went to the home of victim #1 and waited for her husband to leave. The victim's husband left the home at approximately 5:30 a.m. and the victim returned to bed. YOUNG then entered the residence and woke the victim and, armed with a knife, raped the victim. Young raped victim #2 under similar circumstances. Again the victim was threatened with a knife and raped. Similar rapes occurred to additional victims #3 and victim #4. According to official file documents, YOUNG's crimes were committed using very similar methods. Young watched a household for a period of time, confirming that there were no adult males present. YOUNG then broke into the homes of the adult female victims and sexually assaulted them. YOUNG has not participated in a Sex Offender Treatment Program. YOUNG was found to meet the criteria as a SEXUALLY VIOLENT PREDATOR and was committed at the Special Commitment Center in 1990. YOUNG was released from the Special Commitment Center on 7/7/2010. Due to YOUNG's sexual criminal history he has been classified LEVEL 3 (high risk) offender. |
