SUBMITTED BY: VENTIMIGLIA, LISA 0621 (AR11121228) DID, KNOWING HIS DRIVER'S LICENSE OR DRIVING PRIVILEGE HAD BEEN CANCELLED, SUSPENDED OR REVOKED, DRIVE A MOTOR VEHICLE UPON THE HIGHWAYS OF THIS STATE WHILE SUCH LICENSE OR PRIVILEGE WAS CANCELLED, IN VIOLATION OF FLORIDA STATE STATUTE 322.34(2) On 061311 while running radar on West Main Street IN INVERNESS, I observed a 1998 blue Oldsmobile traveling east at a high rate of speed. I activated my radar unit and received a clear AUDIO doPplEr tone AND A TARGET SPEED of 59 miles per hour (MPH) IN A POSTED 45 MPH SPEED ZONE. I initiated a traffic stop and made contact with a white male driver/DEFENDANT. He was advised Of the reason fOR the TRAFFIC stop and requested to provide his driver's license, THE vehicle registration and proof of insurance. The driver said he left his driver's license at home in his room. He advised his name Was AnTonio Miguel Zayas but could not spell his middle name. I verified his identity through D.A.V.I.D. and confirmed his revoked statUs through Teletype. Mr Zayas'S driver's license was revoked on 040711 for failure to submit to medical exam/Rev-IndefINITELY. Mr Zayas was placed under arrest, HANDCUFFED (DOUBLE LOCKED) BEHIND HIS BACK, SECURED IN THE REAR SEAT OF MY PATROL VEHICLE AND TRANSPORTED TO THE CITRUS COUNTY DETENTION FACILITY FOR FURTHER PROCESSING. UPON ARRIVAL, MR ZAYAS WAS CHARGED WITH ONE COUNT OF DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED/REVOKED (DWLS/R) AND HELD ON A BOND OF $500.00, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE BOND SCHEDULE. He was issued A FLORIDA UNIFORM TRAFFIC CITATION, CITATION NUMBER 6992-GJX8, for DWLS/R and WRITTEN Warning NUMBER 333564B, for UNLAWFUL SPEED, 59 MPH IN A POSTED 45 MPH speed ZONE.
