| Comments: | According to official documents Nelson pled guilty in Thurston County Superior Court on 04/16/1980 to one count of Second Degree Rape and one count of First Degree Robbery. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison. This conviction was the result of Nelson sexually assaulting the unknown adult female victim. On 12/17/1979 the victim was walking to her car when she was grabbed by Nelson and held at gun point. He forced her into her vehicle where he tied her, sexually assaulted her and then left her locked in the vehicle. He also took money from her during the offense. Nelson was paroled in 1989 and since then has an extensive criminal history. His most recent release from prison on 06/12/2006 was after serving a 25 month sentence for Possession of Stolen Property Second Degree and Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine). Nelson attributes the majority of his criminal behavior to continued drug use. He has successfully completed the chemical dependency treatment program during this period of incarceration. Nelson is not on active supervision and his only requirement is to register as a sex offender. |
