Probable cause affidavit: | SUBMITTED BY: GREATREX, ROBERT 0287 (AR16-20737)(2016-115340) DID UNLAWFULLY, WILLFULLY AND MALICIOUSLY INJURE OR DAMAGE CERTAIN PROPERTY OF THE VICTIM, TO-WIT: DAMAGE THE GLASS EXTERIOR DOOR OF THE CUMBERLAND FARMS FUEL STATION IN CITRUS SPRING, SAID DAMAGE BEING OF A VALUE OF $1000.00, IN VIOLATION OF FLORIDA STATUTES 806.13(1)(B)3. DID UNLAWFULLY ENTER OR REMAIN IN A CERTAIN STRUCTURE OR CARTILAGE THEREOF, THE CUMBERLAND FARMS FUEL STATION LOCATED AT 9580 N. CITRUS SPRING, FL., WITHOUT SAID PERSON'S CONSENT, WITH THE INTENT TO COMMIT AN OFFENSE THEREIN, TO-WIT: THEFT OF BEER AND CIGARETTES, IN VIOLATION OF FLORIDA STATUTE, 810.02(4)(A). ON 082216, AT APPROXIMATELY 2348 HOURS, DEPUTY CREEL RESPONDED TO THE CUMBERLAND FARMS LOCATED AT 9580 NORTH CITRUS SPRINGS BOULEVARD, IN DUNNELLON, IN REFERENCE TO AN ALARM. WHILE EN ROUTE DISPATCH ADVISED THAT A SECOND CALL CAME IN FROM AN EMPLOYEE WHO HAD RESPONDED DUE TO THE ALARM THAT HAD ADVISED THAT THE FRONT GLASS DOOR TO THE BUSINESS HAD BEEN SMASHED AND ALL THE LIGHTS WERE OUT. UPON DEPUTY CREELâS ARRIVAL HE DID OBSERVE THE FRONT DOOR SMASHED BUT I DID NOT OBSERVE ANY MOVEMENT FROM WITHIN THE BUSINESS. AFTER A SEARCH OF THE BUSINESS IT WAS SECURED AND EVIDENCE WAS COLLECTED TO INCLUDE A LARGE AMOUNT OF BLOOD. IT WAS DETERMINED BY EMPLOYEEâS OF THE CUMBERLAND FARMS THAT THERE DID NOT APPEAR ANY MERCHANDISE WAS MISSING FROM THE STORE. THE DAMAGE TO THE STORE WAS REPORTED TO BE APPROXIMATELY $1000.00 A SEARCH FOR THE UNKNOWN SUSPECT MET WITH NEGATIVE RESULTS. ON 082616, THIS DETECTIVE DEVELOPED A SUSPECT IN THIS CASE BY THE NAME OF CHARLES FRANCES ALOI III. AT 1400 HOURS ON THIS DATE, I RESPONDED TO 2140 W. HOWARD PLACE IN ATTEMPTâS TO MAKE CONTACT WITH THE SUSPECT. UPON ARRIVING THE SUSPECT WAS HOME AND AGREED TO SPEAK WITH THIS DETECTIVE. THE SUSPECT ADMITTED THAT HE DID SMASH THE FRONT DOOR OF THE CUMBERLAND FARM FUEL STATION AT 9580 N. CITRUS SPRING BLVD. SUSPECT ALOI SAID THAT HE HAD BEEN DRINKING AND RAN OUT OF BEER AND CIGARETTES. THE SUSPECT SAID HE RESPONDED TO THE CUMBERLAND FARMS STORE AND IT WAS CLOSED, SO HE SHUT THE POWER OFF AT THE REAR OF THE BUILDING AND SMASHED OUT THE GLASS DOOR TO GAIN ENTRY. THE SUSPECT SAID THE ALARM SOUNDED AT HE LEFT IMMEDIATELY. THE SUSPECT SAID THAT HE DID SUSTAIN A DEEP CUT TO HIS RIGHT HAND AFTER SMASHING THE DOOR OF THE BUILDING. AT THAT TIME, I DID OBSERVE THE CUT TO THE SUSPECTS RIGHT HAND AND THEN ADVISED CHARLES FRANCS ALOI THE III THAT HE WAS UNDER ARREST. THE DEFENDANT WAS READ HIS MIRANDA RIGHTS AND THEN HANDCUFFED AND TRANSPORTED TO THE JAIL.
