| Commentaries: | Comments According to official documents in August of 1995 Bauman sexually assaulted a 14- year old female on two occasions. The victim's mother had allowed Bauman to stay in their home as he had just been released from prison and needed a place to stay. The victim and Bauman slept in the same room. Bauman left his bed and got into bed with the victim and sexually assaulted her. After the assault, the victim was told not to tell her mom or her best friend. A few weeks later Bauman again sexually assaulted the victim again and the victim again was told not to tell anyone. The victim told her best friend who informed her family. Bauman was charged with Rape of a Child, 2nd degree. Bauman pled guilty under an Alford Plea to Assault 2nd degree and was given a term of 57 months in prison with credit for time served. Bauman is an untreated sex offender who was not interested in sex offender treatment of any kind while in prison. Bauman is no longer under supervision. 1. No contact with the victim.
