| Details: | Charles Raymond SPRAGUE is a Sexually Violent Predator and has been part of the state's Civil Commitment Program since 2010. On the morning of April 15, 2015, SPRAGUE violated his civil commitment requirement by knowingly and intentionally cutting off his ankle monitor and absconding from the Fort Worth Transitional Center Halfway house. In June 1991, SPRAGUE was convicted of Aggravated Kidnapping after he abducted a 19-year-old female college student attending the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. He received a 7-year sentence in TDCJ prison and was paroled in July 1995. Several months later, while riding home with a female co-worker, SPRAGUE forced her at gun point to drive to a rural location and perform sex acts with him. SPRAGUE was later convicted of Aggravated Kidnapping by Force and Aggravated Sexual Assault with a Deadly Weapon. He subsequently received a 15-year sentence in TDCJ prison. On April 15, 2015, the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office issued a warrant for SPRAGUE's arrest for Failure to Comply with Civil Commitment Requirements. SPRAGUE has previous employment as a cook and laborer. |
