ON 060412, THIS DETECTIVE RESEARCHED THE DEFENDANT’S NAME THROUGH “FINDERS” PAWN PROGRAM WHERE I DISCOVERED SEVERAL PAWN TRANSACTIONS TO INCLUDE A LAPTOP COMPUTER; TWO DIGITAL CAMERAS; MISCELLANEOUS JEWELRY AND AN NINTENDO DS GAMING SYSTEM. THIS DETECTIVE AGAIN MADE CONTACT WITH THE VICTIM WHO SUBSEQUENTLY RESPONDED TO THE FAMILY JEWELRY AND PAWN STORE. AT THAT TIME THE VICTIM IDENTIFIED ANOTHER ITEM WHICH HAD BEEN STOLEN FROM HER AS A KODAK DIGITAL CAMERA, GRAY IN COLOR. THIS PROPERTY WAS PAWNED BY THE DEFENDANT ON 050912 (TRANSACTION NUMBER 2147) AT 1359 HOURS. THE DEFENDANT DID PROVIDE FLORIDA IDENTIFICATION CARD ALONG WITH HER RIGHT THUMBPRINT. THE VICTIM ADVISED THAT THE DEFENDANT DID NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO TAKE HER PROPERTY. DURING THIS TIME, THE VICTIM’S FATHER ADVISED THAT ON ABOUT 051612 THE DEFENDANT WAS CONFRONTED ABOUT TAKING OTHER ITEMS FROM HIS RESIDENCE AND PAWNING THEM WITHOUT HIS PERMISSION. THE SECOND VICTIM STATED THAT HE RESPONDED TO THE VARIOUS PAWN SHOPS AT WHICH TIME HE PURCHASED BACK THE PROPERTY THE DEFENDANT HAD STOLEN FROM HIM AND PAWNED. IN SPEAKING WITH VICTIM TWO, HE ADVISED THAT A HEWLETT PACKARD LAPTOP THAT HE PURCHASED OUT OF THE COLONIAL PAWN SHOP ON 051712 HAD AGAIN BEEN SOLD BY THE DEFENDANT TO THE COMPUTER DOCTOR LOCATED ON HIGHWAY 44. VICTIM TWO WAS ABLE TO PROVIDE A RECEIPT FOR THE PURCHASE OF THE COMPUTER FROM COLONIAL PAWN AND ADVISED THAT HE WISHED TO PURSUE CHARGES AGAINST THE DEFENDANT FOR AGAIN TAKING HIS PROPERTY AND SELLING/PAWNING IT. THE PROPER PAPERWORK WAS COMPLETED BY VICTIM ONE AT THE FAMILY JEWELRY AND PAWN STORE WHERE A HOLD WAS PLACED ON THE KODAK DIGITAL CAMERA BELONGING TO VICTIM ONE. CONTACT WAS THEN MADE WITH THE COMPUTER DOCTOR WHO ADVISED THEY HAD PURCHASED A HEWLETT PACKARD LAPTOP COMPUTER FROM THE DEFENDANT ON 052112. THIS IS THE COMPUTER BELONGING TO VICTIM TWO. CONTACT WAS MADE WITH THE DEFENDANT WHO WAS ADVISED THAT SHE WAS BEING PLACED UNDER ARREST FOR GRAND THEFT, DEALING IN STOLEN PROPERTY AND GIVING FALSE INFORMATION TO A PAWN BROKER. THE DEFENDANT WAS READ MIRANDA RIGHTS VIA AGENCY PRE PRINTED CARD, ADVISED THAT SHE UNDERSTOOD HER RIGHTS, AND AGREED TO SPEAK WITH ME. AT THAT TIME I ATTEMPTED TO QUESTION THE DEFENDANT IN REFERENCE TO THE SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY OF CARRYING THE EMPTY LAPTOP BAG IN TO VICTIM ONE’S ROOM FROM WHERE THE LAPTOP WAS STOLEN. THE DEFENDANT DENIED TAKING THE VICTIM’S LAPTOP AND ADVISED SHE HAD MADE ARRANGEMENTS TO REPAY THE VICTIMS FOR THE PROPERTY SHE HAD STOLEN FROM THEM AND SUBSEQUENTLY PAWNED. THE DEFENDANT WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE CITRUS COUNTY DETENTION FACILITY FOR BOOKING AND PROCESSING. UPON ARRIVAL AT THE DETENTION FACILITY THE DEFENDANT WAS TURNED OVER TO DETENTION STAFF AND HER TOTAL BOND WAS SET AT $17,000.00 PER THE BOND SCHEDULE. |
