HE ADVISED HE HAD PULLED OVER A VEHICLE THAT THE DEFENDANT, MR CHRISTOPHER BRUNER, WAS RIDING IN FOR STOPPING IN THE ROADWAY. HE STATED ADVISED THE DRIVER HE WISHED TO WALK HIS CANINE AROUND THE VEHICLE. AFTER DOING SO, HIS DOG ALERTED TO TO ODOR OF NARCOTICS IN THE VEHICLE. MR BRUNER ATTEMPTED TO EXIT THE VEHICLE QUICKLY WITHOUT MY COMMAND. I ORDERED THE DEFENDANT BACK INSIDE THE VEHICLE. UPON WALKING to the PASSENGER SIDE DOOR, I OBSERVED A USED SYRINGE ON the GROUND OUTSIDE THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR. I DETAINED MR BURNER AND CONDUCTED AN INTERVIEW. MR BURNER AGREED TO SPEAK TO ME. HE DID ADMIT TO THE USED SYRINGE BEING HIS. HE STATED HE DROPPED IT OUT OF THE WINDOW AS THEY WERE BEING PULLED OVER AND HE USES THAT SYRINGE FOR PILLS AND METHAMPHETAMINE. A FURTHER SEARCH OF THE VEHICLE DID NOT YIELD ANY NARCOTICS. ON 010616 AT 2130 HOURS THE DEFENDANT WAS ISSUED NOTICE TO APPEAR CITATION NUMBER 15561, FOR POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA, WITH A MANDATORY COURT DATE OF 012816 AT 1300 HOURS AT THE CITRUS COUNTY COURT HOUSE. THE DEFENDANT WAS THEN RELEASED ON HIS OWN RECOGNIZANCE. NO FURTHER ACTION BY THIS DEPUTY. |
