| Comments: | Sex offenders have always lived in our communities; but it was not until passage of the community protection act of 1990 (which mandates sex offender registration) that law enforcement even knew where they were living. In many cases, law enforcement is not able to share that information with you. Citizen abuse of this information to threaten, intimidate or harass registered sex offenders will not be tolerated. Further, such abuse could potentially end law enforcement's ability to do community notifications. We believe the only person who wins if community notification ends is the sex offender, since sex offenders drive their power through secrecy. According to official documents, Christopher C. Eddy at age (21) engaged in sexual intercourse with a 14 year old female on numerous occasions between 1-2004 and 4-2004. The female reported the two had been in a dating relationship and she had initially told Eddy that she was 16 years old. Eddy later learned her actual age. Eddy was convicted of RAPE OF A CHILD 3rd Degree 10-2004. Eddy was sentenced to 31 months in prison with 48 months supervision following his release on 2-2006. On 4-2008, Eddy now 25 years old entered a home through a kitchen window while the victim 34 years old was taking a shower and her husband was upstairs reading their children a book. Eddy entered the bathroom where the victim was showering. When the victim heard something she looked out of the shower to find Eddy standing naked from the waist down masturbating. Eddy grabbed the victim''s wrist and tried to get into the shower with her. The victim convinced Eddy to wait for her in the attached bedroom. The victim notified her husband and called 911. Eddy exited the bedroom and followed the victim as he continued to masturbate. Police arrived and took Eddy into custody. His clothes were located outside the residence in the bushes. Eddy was still on supervision for the above crimes and after conviction of Residential Burglary with Sexual Motivation on 3-2009 he received an exceptional sentence of 92 months confinement and 28 months supervision. Eddy is currently supervised by the DOC Marysville 360-658-2153. " Probation Conditions Obey all laws. Do not have direct or indirect contact with victim. Pay the costs of crime-related conseling and medical treatment required by victim. Do not initiate or prolong cntact with minor children without the presence of an adult whi is knowledgeable of the offense and has been approved by CCO. Do not seek employment or volunteer positions which place you in contact with or control over minor children. Do not frequent areas where minor children are known to congregate, as defined by CCO. Do not possess or access pornographic materials, as directed by CCO. Do not frequent establishments whose primary business pertains to swxually explicit or erotic material. Do not date women nor form relationships with families who have minor children, as directed by CCO. Do not remain overnight in a resicence where minor children live or are spending the night. Do not possess or cnsume alcohol and do not frequent establishments where alcohol is the chief commodity for sale. Do not possess or consume controlled substances unless you have a legally issued prescripton. Do not associate with known users or sellers of illegal drugs. Do not possess drig paraphernalia. Stay ot of drug areas, as defined in writing by CCO. Particpate and make progress in sexual deviancy treatment. Participate in substance abuse treatment as idrected by CCO. Participate in various physical exams as directed by CCO to ensure conditions of community custody. Your residence, living arrangements and employment must be approved by CCO. |
