SUBMITTED BY: BEETOW, CHARLES 0295 (AR11122310) DID UNLAWFULLY AND KNOWINGLY OBTAIN OR USE, OR ENDEAVOR TO OBTAIN OR USE THE PROPERTY OF THE VICTIM, beall's outlet store, TO WIT: miscellaneous jewelry and undergarments, SAID PROPERTY BEING OF A VALUE OF $59.88, WITH THE INTENT TO EITHER TEMPORARILY OR PERMANENTLY DEPRIVE THE VICTIM OF A RIGHT TO THE PROPERTY OR A BENEFIT THEREOF, OR DID APPROPRIATE THE SAID PROPERTY TO Her OWN USE OR THE USE OF ANY PERSON NOT ENTITLED THERETO, and having been previously arrested for same/similar offense, is IN VIOLATION OF FLORIDA STATE STATUTES 812.014(1) and 812.014(3)(b). on 081911, at approximately 1200 hours, I did respond to 223 east highland boulevard; the beall's outlet, in reference to a shoplifter in custody. upon arrival contact was made with loss prevention who advised that they did observe the defendant, ms crystal sauter, select several pieces of jewelry and conceal them in her purse. the DEFENDANT THEN went to ladIES LINGERIE and selected several more articles of clothing. these items were then placed into her purse and the defendant then walked outside, pasT all points of final sale WITHOUT PAYING FOR THE MERCHANDISE. the defendant was then taken into custody by loss prevention and brought back into the office. the property was then removed from the defendant's purse AND THE VALUE DETERMINED TO BE $59.88. a RECORDS MANAGEMENT CHECK revealed a prior arrest for retail theft, on 091010. loss prevention was given a businesS card bearing this agency's case number. a copy of the video tape was collected and later turned over to evidence. loss prevention filled out a sworn STATEMENT in reference to this case. the defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the citrus county detention facIlity where she was booked, processed and held on $500.00 BOND per the bond schedUle.
