ON 112616, AT APPROXIMATELY 1250 HOURS, THE DEFENDANT, MR DANIEL MAXWELL, WAS BEING HOUSED IN CELL NUMBER 129 IN THE MEDICAL WARD OF THE CITRUS COUNTY DETENTION FACILITY. DURING THAT TIME, THE DEFENDANT ASKED CORRECTIONS CORPORATION OF AMERICA (CCA) CORRECTIONS OFFICER, MS EARLINE ROSS, IF HE COULD BE MOVED FROM MEDICAL TO THE RESTRICTIVE HOUSING UNIT. WHEN THE DEFENDANT WAS DENIED SAID MOVE, HE BECAME BELLIGERENT AND BEGAN DAMAGING A FIRE SUPPRESSION SPRINKLER HEAD THAT WAS IN THE CEILING OF THE CELL HE WAS CONTAINED IN. THE DEFENDANT WAS LATER PLACED UNDER ARREST FOR THIS OFFENSE AND BOND WAS SET AT $5,000.00, PER THE BOND SCHEDULE. THE DEFENDANT'S IDENTITY WAS VERIFIED VIA CITRUS COUNTY DETENTION FACILITY RECORDS. THE DEFENDANT WAS TURNED OVER TO STAFF FOR BOOKING AND PROCESSING. NO FURTHER ACTION TAKEN BY THIS DEPUTY AT THAT TIME. |
