ON 091314 THE VICTIM REPORTED TO THE CITRUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE THAT HIS RESIDENCE HAD BEEN BROKEN IN TO AND THAT NUMEROUS ITEMS HAD BEEN STOLEN FROM HIS RESIDENCE, WHICH INCLUDED A FIREARM, TWO SAFES, AND JEWELRY. THE VICTIM FURTHER ADVISED THAT HIS WORKSHOP HAD BEEN BROKEN IN TO AND NUMEROUS TOOLS HAD BEEN STOLEN FROM THE WORKSHOP. THE VICTIM ADVISED THAT THE POSSIBLE SUSPECT WAS CO-DEFENDANT, MR ROBERT LANG, WHO WAS STAYING IN A DETACHED MOTHER IN LAW SUITE, ADJACENT TO HIS RESIDENCE. THE VICTIM COMPLETED A LIST OF STOLEN PROPERTY, WHICH TOTALED OVER $10,000.00 FOR THE VALUE OF THE STOLEN ITEMS. DURING THE COURSE OF THE INVESTIGATION, THIS DETECTIVE LEARNED THAT THE SUSPECT/CO-DEFENDANT, MR ROBERT LANG, HAD BEEN RESIDING AT THE RESIDENCE WITH SUSPECT, MS DAWN NORRIS. ON 092014, THIS DETECTIVE MADE CONTACT WITH SUSPECT/CO-DEFENDANT, MR ROBERT LANG, WHO WAS ARRESTED FOR BURGLARY AND GRAND THEFT. WHILE THIS DETECTIVE WAS COMPLETING THE ARREST AT THE CITRUS COUNTY DETENTION FACILITY I WAS ADVISED THAT THE SUSPECT, MS DAWN NORRIS, HAD ARRIVED AT THE VICTIMâS RESIDENCE. THIS DETECTIVE ADVISED FOR A PATROL UNIT TO RESPOND TO THE RESIDENCE AND MAKE CONTACT WITH SUSPECT UNTIL MY ARRIVAL. UPON MY ARRIVAL AT THE RESIDENCE, I MADE CONTACT WITH THE SUSPECT, MS DAWN NORRIS. I ADVISED MS NORRIS THAT CO-DEFENDANT, MR ROBERT LANG, HAD BEEN ARRESTED FOR VARIOUS CHARGES. AT THAT TIME, MS NORRIS ADVISED SHE HAD NO INFORMATION ABOUT THE CASE AND ADVISED THAT THE PATROL DEPUTY AND I COULD SEARCH HER VEHICLE FOR ANY STOLEN PROPERTY. DURING THE SEARCH OF MS NORRISâ VEHICLE, APPROXIMATELY TWENTY ITEMS THAT THE VICTIM HAD REPORTED STOLEN WERE LOCATED. ALSO DURING THE SEARCH OF MS NORRISâ PURSE, A SMALL CHANGE PURSE WAS LOCATED, WHICH CONTAINED MISCELLANEOUS JEWELRY. THE VICTIM WAS ABLE TO IDENTIFY APPROXIMATELY EIGHT EARRINGS THAT HAD BEEN STOLEN DURING THE BURGLARY. MS NORRIS ADVISED THAT SHE DID NOT KNOW HOW THE PROPERTY ENDED UP IN HER VEHICLE AND SHE HAD NO FURTHER INFORMATION ABOUT THE CASE. THE PROPERTY WAS COLLECTED AND TURNED OVER TO THE VICTIM. MS NORRIS WAS THEN PLACED UNDER ARREST FOR GRAND THEFT AND TRANSPORTED TO THE CITRUS COUNTY DETENTION FACILITY FOR BOOKING AND PROCESSING, WHERE HER BOND WAS SET AT $2,000.00, PER THE BOND SCHEDULE. |
