submitted by: ENTREKIN, GREGORY 1245 (AR14-10396) (14-67547) ROBBERY, MEANS OF TAKING OF MONEY OR OTHER PROPERTY WHICH MAY BE THE SUBJECT OF LARCENY FROM THE PERSON OR CUSTODY OF ANOTHER, WITH THE INTENT TO EITHER PERMANENTLY OR TEMPORARILY DEPRIVE THE PERSON OR THE OWNER OF THE MONEY OR OTHER PROPERTY, WHEN IN THE COURSE OF TAKING THERE IS A USE OF FORCE, VIOLENCE, ASSAULT, OR PUTTING IN FEAR, IN THE COURSE OF THE ROBBERY THE DEFENDANT DID NOT CARRY A FIREARM, DEADLY WEAPON, OR OTHER WEAPON, IN VIOLATION OF FLORIDA STATE STATUTE 812.13(2)(C). ON 051614 AT APPROXIMATELY 1945 HOURS, I WAS DISPATCHED TO THE SUBWAY IN HOMOSASSA LOCATED AT 3756 SOUTH SUNCOAST BOULEVARD IN REFERENCE TO A ROBBERY THAT HAD JUST OCCURRED. UPON ARRIVAL, I MADE CONTACT WITH MR PEIRSON BUSH WHO STATED WHILE WORKING THE FRONT REGISTER AT SUBWAY, HE WAS WATCHING THROUGH THE FRONT WINDOW AND OBSERVED A WHITE FEMALE WEARING A FLOWERED SCRUB LIKE SHIRT DRINKING A BEER. HE STATED THE WOMAN CROSSED THROUGH THE PARKING LOT, ENTERED THE BUSINESS AND APPROACHED THE REGISTER. HE THEN STATED THE FEMALE, LATER IDENTIFIED AS THE DEFENDANT, MS DEBRA FINK, DEMANDED THE MONEY THAT WAS IN THE REGISTER AND THREATENED TO BEAT HIM UP IF HE DID NOT GIVE HER THE MONEY. MR BUSH STATED HE HESITATED THINKING IT WAS A JOKE AND AT THAT TIME, MS FINK REPEATED HERSELF FOR HIM TO GIVE HER ALL OF THE MONEY THAT WAS IN THE REGISTER. HE STATED AT THAT TIME, MS FINK GRABBED HER BEALLS SHOPPING BAG, OPENED IT UP AND TOLD MR BUSH TO PLACE THE MONEY INSIDE THE BAG. HE THEN STATED AFTER HE DID THIS, THE DEFENDANT LEFT the STORE HEADING TOWARDS HIGHWAY 19. ONCE THE DEFENDANT LEFT THE STORE, MR BUSH CONDUCTED A COUNT OF THE MONEY IN THE REGISTER WHERE HE CONCLUDED THE DEFENDANT HAD TAKEN APPROXIMATELY $310.00. WHILE SPEAKING WITH MR BUSH, HE POINTED IN THE GENERAL AREA WHERE THE DEFENDANT WAS STANDING AT WHICH TIME I OBSERVED A NATURAL LIGHT BEER CAN WHICH MR BUSH STATED THE DEFENDANT WAS DRINKING. I THEN COLLECTED THE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE CONTAINER FOR EVIDENCE. AT THAT TIME, MAJOR CRIMES WAS CONTACTED TO WHICH DETECTIVE BERGEN WAS NOTIFIED. WHILE GATHERING FURTHER INFORMATION REGARDING THIS INCIDENT, DEPUTY WATTS ALONG WITH DEPUTY CORBIN MADE CONTACT WITH THE DEFENDANT AT STYXS BAR IN HOMOSASSA. AT THAT TIME, DEPUTY CORBIN ADVISED DISPATCH THAT THE DEFENDANT HAD THE MONEY IN HER POSSESSION TO WHICH DEPUTY CORBIN ADVISED ME SHE HAD APPROXIMATELY $315.00 IN HER POSSESSION. SHE WAS DETAINED UNTIL DETECTIVE BERGEN ARRIVED ON SCENE. WHILE DETECTIVE BERGEN CONDUCTED HIS INTERVIEW WITH THE DEFENDANT, CRIME SCENE TECHNICIAN ALEXANDER PROCESSED THE SCENE. SEE HIS CRIME SCENE TECHNICIAN REPORT. THIS DEPUTY ALSO SPOKE WITH THE OWNER OF SUBWAY, MR SCOTT LAMBO, WHO WAS ABLE TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE VIDEO SURVEILLANCE OF THE OCCURRED INCIDENT TO WHICH HE STATED HE WILL BE ABLE TO GIVE A COPY TO THIS AGENCY. I ALSO SPOKE WITH A WITNESS, WHO IS A CO WORKER AT SUBWAY, MS COLLEEN JARNAGAN, WHO WAS PRESENT AT THE TIME OF THE ROBBERY WHOSE STORY CORROBORATED WITH MR BUSH. SWORN STATEMENTS WERE GATHERED FROM ALL SUBWAY EMPLOYEES. AT THAT TIME, I TOOK CUSTODY OF THE DEFENDANT AND TOLD HER SHE WAS BEING PLACED UNDER ARREST. SHE WAS THEN HANDCUFFED, (DOUBLE LOCKED), BEHIND HER BACK AND SECURED IN THE REAR OF MY PATROL VEHICLE. PRIOR TO LEAVING THE SCENE, I WAS APPROACHED BY A MAN NAMED JEFFERY CAGLE WHO ADVISED THAT HE WAS TOLD BY THE DEFENDANT EARLIER IN THE DAY THAT SHE WAS GOING TO ROB THE SUBWAY IN HOMOSASSA AND THAT SHE WAS TIRED OF LIVING ON THE STREETS. A SWORN WRITTEN STATEMENT WAS THEN COLLECTED FROM MR CAGLE IN REFERENCE TO WHAT THE DEFENDANT TOLD HIM. THE DEFENDANT WAS THEN TRANSPORTED TO THE CITRUS COUNTY DETENTION FACILITY FOR BOOKING AND PROCESSING. THE DEFENDANTâS BOND WAS SET AT $10,000.00, PER THE BOND SCHEDULE. |
