| Commentaries: | Comments According to official records, Fortin was found guilty on February 2, 2000 by Jury Trial of the Crime of Rape in the 1st Degree in Snohomish County Superior court. He was given a term of 160 months in prison. The victim in his crime was a 21 year old female who was familiar with Fortin as Fortin had dated a friend of the victim. Fortin reported that he needed a ride home and the victim offered him the ride. Once in the vehicle, Fortin pulled out a knife and a piece of wire. Fortin put the wire around the victim's neck and the headrest of the vehicle. The victim was then sexually assaulted in her vehicle. In February of 1990, Fortin who was 14 years of age at the time, sexually assaulted a known 26 year old female.He was convictedin this case of Attempted Indecent Liberties. Fortin received 12 months probation in this case with Juvenile Court. Fortin declined to participate in sex offender treatment while in prison.
