| Probable cause affidavit: | SUBMITTED BY: BOYER, JASON 0465 (AR08106729) did, knowing HIS driver's license or driving privilege had been cancelled, suspended or revoked AS A HABITUAL TRAFFIC OFFENDER, drive a motor vehicle upon the highways of this state while such license or privilege was cancelled, in violation of Florida Statute 322.34(5) ON 121608 I WAS DISPATCHED TO ASSIST CORPORAL BONURA WITH A TRAFFIC STOP AT HIGHWAY 19 AND GROVER CLEVELAND BOULEVARD. UPON ARRIVAL, I MADE CONTACT WITH CORPORAL BONURA, WHO STATED HE OBSERVED THE SUSPECT, MR DONALD R GIBSON, TRAVELING SOUTHBOUND ON SOUTH SUNCOAST BOULEVARD. UPON RUNNING THE LICENSE PLATE TO THE TAG ATTACHED TO THE VEHICLE (558HDD), CORPORAL BONURA REALIZED THAT the TAG DID NOT COME BACK TO THE GREEN OLDSMOBILE VAN. AT that TIME CORPORAL BONURA INITIATED A TRAFFIC STOP. HE THEN ASKED MR GIBSON IF HE HAD A DRIVERS LICENSE, TO WHICH HE STATED HE DID NOT. MR GIBSON THEN ADVISED HIS LICENSE WAS SUSPENDED, MOST RECENTLY FOR DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE. MR GIBSON IS A HABITUAL TRAFFIC OFFENDER. I PLACED MR GIBSON UNDER ARREST, HANDCUFFED, DOUBLE LOCKED AND TRANSPORTED HIM TO THE CITRUS COUNTY DETENTION FACILITY, WHERE HIS BOND WAS SET AT $2,000.00 PER THE BOND SCHEDULE WHILE AT THE DETENTION FACILITY, THE DEFENDANT WAS ISSUED FLORIDA UNIFORM TRAFFIC CITATION 8604-FYK, WITH A COURT DATE OF 010809 AT 1300 HOURS. *NOT-EXEMPT* |
