| Narrative: | On 03/14/2013 the Brooksville Police Department received a grand theft complaint from the owner of the Oak Park Apartments which are located at 460 Hale Ave, Brooksville, Fl. The complaint stated that the defendant Donna M. Lopez, who is the Complex Manager of the Oak Park Apartments and employed by the owner has been leasing vacant apartments, collecting security deposits, monthly rent, and taking the money for personal gain. Through further investigation and a review of utility records it was revealed that since approximately October of 2012, until present the defendant had been leasing two separate apartments without notifying the property owner and keeping the security deposits and rent money for personal gain. The total amount of rent money collected by the defendant during this time period was approximately$4,952.50. During an interview with the defendant she admitted to collecting the security deposits and rent money from the two apartments which she kept for personal use. |
