| Narrative: | On the above date and time, an officer of the Brooksville Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a black Dodge pickup in the area of 605 Harar Avenue. Upon contact with the driver Douglas Jones, a computer check confirmed that his driver’s license was revoked and he was a habitual traffic offender. He was then placed under arrest. A search of Jones’ person, incident to arrest, revealed a bag of marijuana in his pants leg. A K-9 responded and conducted a sniff of the vehicle’s exterior for the odor of narcotics and gave a positive alert. A search of the vehicle’s interior revealed another bag of marijuana in the center console. Post Miranda, Jones claimed ownership of the 6 grams of marijuana. He was transported to the Hernando County Jail where it was learned that he was already out on bond, therefore, he is being held on a no bond status. |
