| Comments: | In 2004 Simpson was convicted in Thurston County Superior Court of four counts Rape of a Child 3rd Degree and one count of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance. The crimes involved Simpson at age 23 establishing a sexual relationship with a 15 year old female. During the relationship he provided the victim with alcohol and drugs. He was sentenced to 60 months in prison with the sentence being suspended so he could complete community based sex offender treatment. Simpson violated the conditions of that supervision and his sentence was re-instated. Simpson was released from prison on 11/28/07 and will be on active community supervision through Washington State Department of Corrections for the next 36 to 48 months. Because of the type of crime involved and the fact Simpson is an untreated sex offender he has been identified as a high risk to the community and this notification is required. |
