| Narrative: | On the above date and time, officers of the Brooksville Police Department responded to the payphones in front of Family Dollar in reference to a 911 hang up. Dispatch advised a female called in on 911 and was screaming frantically, then hung up. Upon arrival, officers located blood near the phone and clothing scattered about the parking lot. Officers searched the area and located a male subject, later identified as Edgar Tower. Tower advised he was arguing with his live in girlfriend. The girlfriend was later found hiding in the woods next to the parking lot. She advised she was hiding from Tower because she was afraid he was going to kill her. She was bleeding from her face and it was swollen. The female advised that the two of them were walking through the parking lot and began to argue. Tower then attacked her causing the injuries. She was transported to the hospital and treated for a broken nose, then released. Tower was placed under arrest and charged with domestic felony battery. He is being held at the Hernando County Jail without bond. |
