| Comments: | WATSON, Eric Albert In 1992, WATSON was convicted of Child Molestation in the First Degree. WATSON sexually assaulted two sisters, ages 8 and 10 and attempted to sexually assault a third female, who was the other victims' 5-year-old sister. The victims were playing in a park near their residence when WATSON arrived in his vehicle. One of the victims recognized him as a subject who used to date their older sister. WATSON engaged the victims in sexually explicit conversation, which included asking the victims if they wanted to see his penis. WATSON pulled the 8-year-old victim into the restroom at the park and sexually molested her and exposed himself to her. He then pulled the 10-year-old victim into the bathroom and sexually molested her and exposed himself to her. He attempted to do the same thing with the 5-year-old victim, but her sisters were able to get her away from WATSON and the three victims fled to their home. WATSON learned that the incident was reported to the police and called the victim's parents and tried to minimize his involvement with the girls. Shortly thereafter, Watson fled the area. In 1993, he was arrested in Montana on a fugitive warrant related to this case. WATSON's criminal history includes several misdemeanor arrests mostly for assaultive behavior. WATSON will be under community supervision by the Department of Corrections for a period of 24 months. Due to WATSON's sexual and criminal history, he has been classified as a LEVEL 3 Sex Offender. This allows the Pierce County Sheriff's Department to disclose relevant, necessary, and accurate information to public and private schools, child day care centers, family day care providers, businesses and organizations that serve primarily children near where the offender is expected to live. This current notification is being done, because WATSON has recently been released from custody and moved to an area in Pierce County. Sex Offender registration laws allow for the tracking of sexual offenders. It does not, however control the location of where an offender chooses to live. |
