SUBMITTED BY: CULBERTSON, CHRIS 0439 (AR10118120) DID UNLAWFULLY AND KNOWINGLY OBTAIN OR USE, OR ENDEAVOR TO OBTAIN OR USE THE PROPERTY OF THE VICTIM, WAL-MART SUPER CENTER, TO WIT: TWO GIFT BOXES OF PERFUME AND A GIFT BOX OF MEN'S COLOGNE, SAID PROPERTY BEING OF A VALUE OF $81.62, WITH THE INTENT TO EITHER TEMPORARILY OR PERMANENTLY DEPRIVE THE VICTIM OF A RIGHT TO THE PROPERTY OR A BENEFIT THEREOF, OR DID APPROPRIATE THE SAID PROPERTY TO HIS OWN USE OR THE USE OF ANY PERSON NOT ENTITLED THERETO, IN VIOLATION OF FLORIDA STATE STATUTE 812.014(3)(a). ON 112710 I RESPONDED TO THE WAL-MART SUPER CENTER LOCATED IN INVERNESS, IN REFERENCE TO SHOPLIFTERS IN CUSTODY. UPON ARRIVAL, I MADE CONTACT WITH LOSS PREVENTION OFFICER DALE WILLIAMS. HE STATED HE OBSERVED TWO FEMALE SUBJECTS, LATER IDENTIFIED AS TIFFANI CHESTER AND ERIN VIPPERMAN, ENTER THE STORE'S SEASONAL DEPARTMENT AND SELECT A VARIETY OF COLOGNE AND PERFUMES. BOTH SUBJECTS THEN PROCEEDED TO THE CARD AISLE, WHERE MS CHESTER WAS OBSERVED OPENING ALL the PACKAGES AND PLACING the ITEMS INTO MS VIPPERMAN'S PURSE. BOTH SUBJECTS THEN PROCEEDED to the EXIT, PASSING ALL FINAL POINTS OF SALE with NO ATTEMPT TO PAY FOR THE MERCHANDISE. AT THAT TIME, MR WILLIAMS PLACED BOTH SUBJECTS IN CUSTODY AND ESCORTED BOTH MS CHESTER AND MS VIPPERMAN TO THE LOSS PREVENTION OFFICE, WHERE HE CONTACTED THE SHERIFF'S OFFICE. AT THIS TIME I OBSERVED THREE GIFT BOXES, ONE WAS FOREVER PERFUME, THE NEXT WAS PARIS HILTON PERFUME, AND THE THIRD WAS CURVE COLOGNE FOR MEN. ALL ITEMS TOTALED $81.62. ALL THE BOXES WERE TORN OPEN. AT THIS TIME I READ BOTH TIFFANI CHESTER AND ERIN VIPPERMAN THEIR MIRANDA RIGHTS VIA PRE PRINTED CARD. THEY BOTH ADVISED THEY WOULD SPEAK WITH ME, AT WHICH TIME THEY BOTH ADMITTED TO TAKING THE ITEMS AND THAT "IT WAS STUPID". AT THIS TIME BOTH SUBJECTS WERE PLACED UNDER ARREST AND HANDCUFFED (DOUBLE LOCKED) BEHIND THEIR BACK. THEY WERE THEN PLACED IN THE REAR SEAT OF MY PATROL VEHICLE AND TRANSPORTED TO THE CITRUS COUNTY DETENTION FACILITY, WHERE THEY WERE CHARGED WITH RETAIL THEFT WITH $150.00 BOND.
