Authorities believe DELEON beat her with a five-pound dumbbell and wrapped an ironing cord around her neck. She later died from the injuries. Two days later, DELEON was arrested in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on a warrant out of Brooks County (Falfurrias, Texas) and extradited back to Texas. He was charged with Murder and Unauthorized use of a Motor Vehicle. In October 2013, DELEON bonded out of the Brooks County Jail and was required to wear an ankle monitor. In December 2013, a few weeks prior to his scheduled court date, he cut off his ankle monitor and absconded from the area. On December 16, 2013, the Brooks County Sheriff's Office issued warrants for DELEON's arrest for Murder and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. DELEON has ties to Falfurrias and Laredo, Texas, as well as Mexico, and is known by friends as "Chevo." He has been employed as a truck driver and also may ride a motorcycle. |
