| Narrative: | On the above date and time, an officer of the Brooksville Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a white Jeep Cherokee for a traffic violation. Upon contact with the driver, George McWhinnie, the officer could detect the odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath, his face was flushed, and his eyes were red, watery, and bloodshot. The officer then had McWhinnie perform field sobriety exercises. McWhinnie performed the exercises poorly. He was then placed under arrest for DUI and transported to the Hernando County Jail. At the jail, McWhinnie submitted to a test of his breath to determine its alcohol content. The test results were 0.157% and 0.149%. The legal limit in the state of Florida is 0.08%. McWhinnie is being held at the Hernando County Jail on $500.00 bond. |
