| Comments: | In 1985 Taylor (age 19) sexually assaulted and stabbed an 18 year old female not known to him. The victim suffered significant blood loss, collapsed lungs and a severed artery to the kidney. The case was unsolved for two years until Taylor was arrested for another offense and his DNA from the two cases matched. He pled guilty to Rape 1st degree and Assault 2nd degree and was sentenced on 6/15/1988. In 1985 Taylor picked up a 19 year old prostitute at knife point on Ft. Lewis, WA. The victim failed to show up to hearings so the Army discharged Taylor from the Military with an "other than honorable discharge". In 1987 Taylor sexually assaulted and stabbed a previous neighbor of his. Taylor stabbed the victim multiple times in her neck in an attempt to kill her. He pled guilty to Rape in the 1st degree while armed with a deadly weapon and was sentenced on 7/20/1987, to 92 months in prison. After serving this sentence, he served an additional 129 months for the 1985 rape. In 2000 Taylor was civilly committed as a sexually violent predator at the Special Commitment Center on McNeil Island. He's now become eligible for a less restrictive alternative placement. This current notification is being done because Taylor has been authorized to leave the Special Commitment Center (SCC) on McNeil Island for a Less Restrictive Alternative (LRA) placement and will reside at the Secure Community Transition Facility (SCTF) on McNeil Island.
