| Commentaries: | Comments According to official documents Smith pled guilty in Snohomish County Superior Court on 05/23/1995 to two counts of Child Molestation in the First Degree. He was sentenced to 89 months in prison. This sentence was suspended and Smith was granted a Special Sex Offender Sentencing Alternative (SSOSA). It does not appear that Smith served any jail time but he did complete a three year community based sex offender treatment program. This conviction was the result of Smith sexually assaulting the known eight and ten year old female victims continuously for a period of two years. Smith moved to another state while on supervision and violated his conditions of supervision. As a result his SSOSA was revoked and he served his original 89 month sentence. Smith declined to participate in sex offender treatment while in prison. Smith is on active supervision with the Washington State Department of Corrections, Marysville office (360) 658-2150, and has the following conditions: Do not change treatment providers without prior approval Do not enter parks, playgrounds, schools or any place where minors congregate Do not have contact with any victim(s) Do not possess or consume controlled substances unless you have a legally issued prescription. Do not possess or peruse pornographic materials unless authorized Do not possess, consume or purchase alcohol Do not reside with anyone who is the parent or legal guardian of minor children Do not work at or be in places frequented by minors Hold no position of authority or trust involving children Inform CCO of any romantic relationships to verify there are no victim age children involved Maintain lawful employment and provide proof of employment to DOC staff as directed No contact with minors Remain within or outside geographic boundaries as directed Report to and be available for contact with assigned CCO as directed Shall reside at a location and under living arrangements as approved by CCO Submit to random urinalysis, breathalyzer, plethysmographic testing as directed. |
