Inmate name: Isaias Santos
Charge description: 400th District Court Judge Clifford Vacek sentenced Isaias Santos to a life sentence on May 16, 2013 after a jury convicted him of Capital Murder. The 33 year-old Richmond man was charged with killing Michael Montalvo and Vivian Moreno in January of 2004. A conviction for Capital Murder, where the death penalty is not sought, results in an automatic life sentence. Because the crime was committed in 2004, Texas law at that time allowed for parole. Santos will not become eligible for parole for at least 40 years. Assistant District Attorneys Christopher DeLozier and Robert Yack prosecuted the case. Attorney Don Hecker represented the defendant. Santoss co-defendant, Christopher Montalvo, is set for trial in June.
