| Narrative: | The Brooksville Police Department Patrol Division reports that on 08/19/2012 approximately 01:05 hrs units responded to 575 Lamar Ave in reference to a battery complaint. During the investigation it was found that JAMES A. BANKSTON and his wife had gotten into an argument while at their residence. During that argument Bankston struck his wife several times in the head. Bankston's wife left the residence and walked to her place of employment (575 Lamar Ave). Bankston followed his wife there and continued to argue with her. Bankston again struck his wife and pushed her into a door. This was witnessed by other employees, who called law enforcement. Bankston fled the scene prior to law enforcement arriving. A warrant was issued by this agency for Bankston for the charge of domestic battery. On 09/17/2012 units were in the area of Old Hospital Rd and Harvard St on a suspicious person call and made contact with Bankston. Bankston was taken into custody for said warrant and held at the Hernando County Jail under a no bond status. |
