| Comments: | According to official documents, in 1996, James FARNAN was convicted of Attempted Rape 2. During this incident, a 66 year old woman rented FARNAN a room in her basement. When she went down to the basement to retrieve a suitcase, she discovered FARNAN wearing her dress. He grabbed her around the neck and covered her mouth. He then dragged her to his bedroom and threw her face down on the bed. FARNAN wrapped a sheet tightly around her neck and reached under her shirt and bra and fondled her breasts. She continued to struggle and yell. Another male tenant renting a room upstairs heard her cries for help and helped the victim escape. While in the custody of Department of Corrections, FARNAN disclosed additional rape victims. Between July 1989 and October 1994, FARNAN admitted to attacking and raping at least 5 females. He also disclosed other stalking incidents where he stalked other women with the specific intent to rape. FARNAN admitted to being under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs while stalking the women and would lose the intended victim prior to the assault. In 2006 FARNAN was found to meet the criteria of a sexually violent predator and was committed to the Special Commitment Center (SCC) on McNeil Island. This current notification is being done because FARNAN has been authorized to leave the Secure Commitment Center (SCC) on McNeil Island and reside at the Secure Community Transition Facility (SCTF) on McNeil Island which has less supervision. FARNAN will be escorted when he leaves his secure housing. Due to Farnan's sexual criminal history he has been classified as a Level 3 sex offender. " Probation Conditions |
