Capture details: | James MATLEY, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive, was taken into custody on April 8, 2015 by the El Paso County Sheriff's Office at a residence near San Elizario, Texas. MATLEY, a confirmed Texas Chicano Brotherhood gang member, was a violent fugitive with ties to the El Paso, Victoria, Edna, and South Texas areas. MATLEY was wanted for Parole Violation (Original Offenses: Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Burglary of a Habitation). In 2000, MATLEY was convicted on two counts of Burglary of a Habitation and was sentenced to 15 years in TDCJ. He was later paroled in 2010. On January 27, 2014, MATLEY was sentenced to two years in TDCJ for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. He was held in TDCJ custody until he was paroled in May 2014 and released to reside in a halfway house in El Paso, Texas.
