| Comments: | According to official documents Zirkle was found guilty by stipulated bench trial in Snohomish County Superior Court on 06/29/2006 of one count of Attempted Child Molestation in the Second Degree. He was sentenced to 12 months in the county jail. This conviction was the result of Zirkle being in an internet chat room where he began chatting with an unknown 13 year old female victim. These conversations continued on several occasions and all became sexual in nature, initiated by Zirkle. Zirkle identified himself to the victim as a grief counselor during one of the chats. Zirkle made arrangements to meet the victim in a public place for a sexual encounter. When Zirkle arrived at the location he was taken into custody as the victim was actually an undercover detective posing as a 13 year old female. Zirkle is not on active supervision and his only requirement is to register as a sex offender. |
