Personal Details

Inmate name: Jamie Roger Flores
Charge description: Jamie Roger Flores was convicted on six counts of Burglary of a Habitation on February 4, 2014. The 40-year-old Houston man plead guilty on the day his trial was to begin and was sentenced to 25 years in prison in an agreement with prosecutors. According to Assistant District Attorney Stuti Patel, Flores broke into several homes in late 2012 in the Missouri City area; including the Lake Olympia, Quail Valley and Plantation Settlement neighborhoods. The defendant stole thousands of dollars worth of jewelry and electronics from his unsuspecting victims while they were away from their homes. Through a detailed investigation, Missouri City Police Detective Terry Patrick identified Flores as the suspect and obtained an arrest warrant. Once arrested, a subsequent search of the defendant and his residence revealed several pieces of stolen jewelry and other property claimed by the victims in these cases. Flores was prosecuted in the 240th District Court before presiding Judge Thomas R. Culver, III. Burglary of a Habitation is a second-degree felony punishable by 2 to 20 years in prison and a fine up to $10,000. But in this case, the defendants prior felony convictions rendered him a habitual offender raising the punishment range from 25 years to life in prison. He not only robbed the victims of their jewelry, but more importantly, their sense of security, said Patel. But Fort Bend County residents can sleep safer tonight knowing that Flores is headed to prison for a long time. Assistant District Attorneys Stuti Patel and Alison Gottlieb prosecuted the case. Attorney Craig Hughes represented the defendant.
