| Narrative: | On the above date and time, officers of the Brooksville Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a white Nissan Altima for defective equipment. The officer approached the driver, later identified as Jared Gottsman, and advised him the reason for the stop and requested his license and registration. Gottsman looked through his vehicle for his license but could not find it. He then reached into his front left pocket and pulled out a bag containing a green leafy substance that resembled marijuana. He quickly shoved it back in his pocket in an attempt to hide it. The green leafy substance field tested positive for marijuana and weighed 8 grams. Gottsman was placed under arrest for possession of marijuana less than 20 grams. He was transported to the Hernando County Jail where he is being held on $500.00 bond. |
