| Narrative: | Brooksville Police officers were dispatched to Wal-Mart located at 7305 Broad Street reference a retail theft. Upon arrival officer’s made contact with Wal-Mart’s loss prevention personnel who stated the defendant JEFFREY SCOTT OUELLETTE was observed selecting a $139.95 FISHING POLE from the Sporting Goods section. OUELLETTE then walked to Customer Service and requested a refund. Wal-Mart approved the refund and provided OUELLETTE with a Wal-Mart gift card in the amount of $149.95 “which included tax.” OUELLETTE took the refund and exited the store. OUELLETTE was stopped by Loss Prevention in the parking lot. Post arrest a hypodermic needle was discovered in OUELLETTE shoe. OUELLETTE stated he uses the needle to shoot up drugs. Also discovered was a glass jar with an unknown brown powder substance inside. OUELLETTE stated he snorts the contents inside the bottle. While sitting handcuffed in the Loss Prevention office OUELLETTE managed to grab the bottle and empty most of the powder onto the floor. JEFFREY SCOTT OUELLETTE was arrested and transported to the Hernando County Detention Facility without further incident. OUELLETTE is being held on a $5000 dollar bond. |
