| Probable cause affidavit: | \tSUBMITTED BY: SUNDBERG, KURT 1268 (AR13-7179) \tdid, knowing HER driver's license or driving privilege had been cancelled, suspended or revoked, drive a motor vehicle upon the highways of this state while such license or privilege was cancelled, in violation of Florida Statute 322.34(2)(a). \t \ton 090513, at APPROXIMATELY 0315 HOURS, while driving NORTHBOUND on HIGHWAY 41, i observed the DEFENDANTâs VEHICLE COMING AT me at a high rate of speed IN the area of HIGHWAY 41 and WEST citrus sprINgs BOULEVARD, AT WHICH TIME I ESTIMATED HER SPEED TO BE APPROXIMATELY 85 MPH. AT THAT TIME, I ACTIVATED MY FRONT RADAR ANTENNA, WHICH REVEALED THE DEFENDANTâS SPEED TO BE 81 MPH. i THEN turned around and got behind the DEFENDANTâs VEHICLE, called out a traffic stop and initiated my emergency overhead lights. the DEFENDANT, MS JENNIFER GRIFFIN, stopped in the area of HIGHWAY 41 and sand land IN HERNANDO. \t \ti approached the DEFENDANTâS VEHICLE on the passenger side and made CONTACT with her. i asked her for her DRIVER'S LICENSE, REGISTRATION and proof of insurance. the DEFENDANT handed me an IDENTIFICATION card and stated to me that she dID not currently have a valid DRIVER'S LICENSE. at that time, i questioned why she was driving the VEHICLE WITHOUT a DRIVER'S LICENSE. she ADVISED me that she left cITRUS SPRINGs to go HERNANDO to pick up her GIRLFRIEND, so that her GIRLFRIEND could DRIVE her back to citrus springs. \t \ti ran the DEFENDANTâs DRIVER'S LICENSE and confirmed that her DRIVER'S LICENSE was SUSPENDED. the last SUSPENSION WAS on 041311, for failure to pay a traffic fine. \t \ti then made CONTACT with the DEFENDANT and asked her to step out of the VEHICLE and step to the front of my patrol VEHICLE. THE DEFENDANT WAS ADVISED THAT SHE WAS BEING PLACED UNDER ARREST FOR DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED. SHE WAS HANDCUFFED (DOUBLE LOCKED), BEHIND her BACK, SECURED IN THE REAR OF MY PATROL VEHICLE AND TRANSPORTED TO THE CITRUS COUNTY DETENTION FACILITY FOR BOOKING AND PROCESSING. \t \tTHE DEFENDANTâS VEHICLE WAS LEFT AT THE SCENE PER THE REQUEST OF THE DEFENDANT, WHERE IT WAS SECURED. THE DEFENDANT ADVISED THAT SHE WOULD PICK IT UP TOMORROW. \t \tthe DEFENDANTâs bond was set at $500.00, per the bond schedule. \t \tthe DEFENDANT was also issued CRIMINAL traffic citation NUMBER 4906gzp8, with a MANDATORY COURT date OF 092613 at 1300 HOURS, AT THE CITRUS COUNTY COURTHOUSE. |
