Branderhorst returned to the location where he had stolen the car and saw the police and left with the children. Branderhorst drove erratically from the police at high speeds. The vehicle spun out and Brandgerhorst fled on foot and was arrested and charged with Kidnapping, Taking a motor vehicle without permission and Attempting to Elude a pursing Police Vehicle.
