| Comments: | According to offical documents, Rogers pled guilty on January 9, 1997 to the crimes of Rape in the 3rd Degree and Assault 1st Degree in King County Suerior Court.He was given a term of 150 months in prison. The victim was a 13 year old female who was a runaway and had met Rogers two weeks prior to the sexual assault. In June of 1996 the victim had gone to a local shelter to reside for the night but arrived too late to be accepted into the shelter. Rogers told the victim about an abandoned house they could stay at. In the early morning hours the victim awoke to find her pants and underwear off and Rogers on top of her. She struggled with Rogers, but he grabbed something and started cutting the victims arms and hands. After the sexual assault was over, Rogers grabbed a knife and cut her across her neck.The victim then pretended to be dead. After a short time she was able to flee the house and found help.Rogers had called 911 to say that he had assaulted a female. He was taken into custody. While in prison he attended and completed sex offender treatment. Rogers is no longer on supervision. |
