Narrative: On the above date and time, officers of the Brooksville Police Department responded to 1308 Milltown Court in reference to a battery. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the 70 year old victim. He advised that he and his nephew, John Courchene, were drinking and got into an argument. The argument escalated and Courchene threw a remote control at him, striking him in the chest. Officers observed a red mark on his chest consistent with his statement. Officers then made contact with Courchene who admitted to throwing the remote at his uncle. Courchene was placed under arrest and charged with Domestic Battery on a Person over 65 yoa. He is being held at the Hernando County Jail without bond. The victim was not seriously injured as a result of the incident.
