| Comments: | On 06/25/12 Joseph Remillard was convicted in U.S. Federal Court for Possession of Child Pornography. This involved an investigation of internet sharing of child pornography by the FBI. During a search of Remillard's home, more than 200 images and 5 videos of female children engaged in sexually explicit acts were found belonging to Remillard. Remillard also has a 1998 burglary conviction where he waited in an adult female victim's closet for her to fall asleep. He then held a rag with varnish on it under the victim's nose in an attempt to render her unconscious to have sexual contact with her. The victim awoke and Remillard left the house. The victim was known to Remillard, and was the second time he was found inside her home without her knowledge. Remillard will be supervised by the US Department of Probation and will enter sex offender treatment.
