| Comments: | According to official documents, Thorpe was found guilty of Rape in the First degree and Unlawful Imprisonment. Thorpe posed as a detective with the Sheriff's Office and after handcuffing his 18 year old female victim in the presence of her male companion, he put her in the trunk of his car. He then took her to a remote location where he forcibly raped her at knife-point. During this entire incident he was also armed with a .357 Magnum handgun. When officers went to arrest Thorpe, he held them at bay with a shotgun for a time before submitting to arrest. He was also found guilty to the crime of Child Molestation in the First Degree. Thorpe molested a known 4 year old female. He was given a sentence of 114 months in Prison. Thorpe is not on active supervision and has no conditions. He does have a lifetime order prohibiting him from having contact with his victims. His only requirement is to register as a sex offender. |
