| Narrative: | On the above date and time, officers of the Brooksville Police Department were conducting a security check of Northgate Apts. in reference to reports of a subject sleeping in one of the abandoned apartments at night without permission. The manager of the complex suspected the subject was Kenneth Thompson, whom she has had problems with in the past. While searching the exterior of the complex, officers observed Kenneth Thompson standing in the doorway of the abandoned apartment. Officers detained Thompson and searched the apartment. The search revealed clothing and other personal items belonging to Thompson. Post Miranda, Thompson advised that he was in the abandoned apartment and knew he wasn’t supposed to be there. He admitted the items found in the apartment were his. Contact was made with the manager of the complex who advised she wanted to prosecute Thompson. He was placed under arrest for trespass to a structure and transported to the Hernando County Jail where he is being held on $500.00 bond. |
