Probable cause affidavit: | SUBMITTED BY: SKINNER, RODNEY 0563 (AR11120420) DID, BEING A PERSON UNDER THE AGE OF TWENTY-ONE YEARS, UNLAWFULLY AND KNOWINGLY HAVE IN HIS ACTUAL OR CONSTRUCTIVE POSSESSION AN ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE, IN VIOLATION OF FLORIDA STATE STATUTE 562.111 ON 042111 AT APPROXIMATELY 2230 HOURS, I RESPONDED TO 1315 WHITTIER STREET IN INVERNESS IN REFERENCE TO A LOUD PARTY. UPON ARRIVAL, THIS DEPUTY OBSERVED ABOUT 20 VEHICLES AT THIS RESIDENCE. I ALSO OBSERVED THROUGH THE WINDOWS APPROXIMATELY 30 TO 40 PEOPLE IN THE RESIDENCE. CONTACT WAS MADE WITH THE DEFENDANT, MR LEXTON STEED, WHO STATED THAT HE LIVED AT THE RESIDENCE ALONG WITH HIS GIRLFRIEND. THE DEFENDANT STATED HE WAS HAVING A PARTY FOR A FRIEND AND THAT HE INVITED ABOUT TEN TO 15 PEOPLE TO THE PARTY, HOWEVER, ABOUT 40 MORE PEOPLE SHOWED UP WHO WERE NOT INVITED. THE DEFENDANT STATED THAT EVEN THOUGH HE DID NOT KNOW a lot OF THE PERSONS SHOWING UP AT THE PARTY HE STILL ALLOWED THEM TO COME INSIDE HIS RESIDENCE. THE DEFENDANT WAS ADVISED THAT THIS AGENCY HAD RECEIVED NOISE COMPLAINTS IN REFERENCE TO HIS PARTY. THE DEFENDANT WAS ASKED WHAT HIS AGE WAS AND HE REPLIED 20 YEARS OF AGE. THE DEFENDANT THEN PROVIDED A FLORIDA DRIVER'S LICENSE WHICH REVEALED THAT HE WAS BORN ON 092990 WHICH CONFIRMED THAT HE WAS 20 YEARS OF AGE. THIS DEPUTY COULD DETECT A STRONG ODOR OF AN ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE ON THE DEFENDANT'S BREATH AND his SPEECH WAS SLIGHTLY SLURRED. THE DEFENDANT WAS ASKED HOW MUCH HE HAD TO DRINK AND HE ADMITTED TO DRINKING TWO BEERS. THE DEFENDANT ADVISED THAT THERE WERE NUMEROUS OTHER UNDERAGE PERSONS AT THE PARTY WHO HAD BEEN DRINKING BEER ALSO. THE DEFENDANT ADVISED HE DID NOT KNOW WHO PURCHASED THE BEER OR WHO BROUGHT THE BEER TO THE PARTY. THE DEFENDANT WAS ASKED IF DEPUTIES COULD ENTER HIS RESIDENCE TO WHICH HE REFUSED STATING "I DO NOT WANT YOU TO COME INSIDE MY HOUSE". THIS DEPUTY COULD OBSERVE THROUGH THE FRONT WINDOW OF THE RESIDENCE BUD LIGHT BEER CANS SITTING ON THE TABLE IN THE DINNING ROOM. THE DEFENDANT STATED HE DID NOT WANT ANYONE TO GET IN TROUBLE AND THAT HE WOULD TAKE ALL RESPONSIBILITY BECAUSE IT WAS HIS PARTY. THE DEFENDANT STATED THAT HE KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING WAS WRONG AND REGRETTED ALLOWING TOO MANY UNDERAGE PERSONS TO COME OVER TO THE RESIDENCE. THE DEFENDANT ALSO STATED HE REGRETTED ALLOWING ANY ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES AT THE PARTY. THE DEFENDANT WAS PLACED UNDER ARREST FOR UNDERAGE DRINKING AND HANDCUFFED BEHIND THE BACK (DOUBLE LOCKED) AND THEN SECURED IN THE REAR SEAT OF MY PATROL VEHICLE. THE DEFENDANT WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE CITRUS COUNTY DETENTION FACILITY WHERE HE WAS TURNED OVER TO DETENTION STAFF FOR BOOKING AND PROCESSING. DUE TO THE DEFENDANT BEING COOPERATIVE IN TAKING RESPONSIBILITY, HE WAS RELEASED ON HIS OWN RECOGNIZANCE (ROR).
