| Comments: | According to official documents, on 11-21-2002 Santiago was found guilty of the following crimes: Voyeurism, Residential Burglary and Attempted Residential Burglary and was given a term of 104 weeks in a Juvenile Institution. While in the Institution he was also found guilty of the crime of Custodial Assault with Sexual Motivation and was given an additional 36 weeks. The Voyeurism conviction was that of Santiago looking into the victim's bedroom window after the victim had exited her shower and Santiago face was pressed against the victim's window. The Residential Burglary conviction was that of Santiago entering victim's home via an unlocked window and the victim who was sleeping awoke to a noise and found Santiago in her bedroom. The conviction for the Attempted Residential Burglary was that of the victim coming home and hearing noises coming from her balcony. When the victim looked outside she saw Santiago on her Balcony. While in the Institution, Santiago asked a female staff member to inspect his room. While the staff was checking under Santiago's bed, the staff member felt something on her buttocks, turned around and Santiago was right behind her. It was apparent to the staff that Santiago had entered the room in order to offend against this victim. Santiago is not on active supervision and his only requirement is to register as a sex offender. |
