| Comments: | According to official documents, in 1998 Mattson (age 40) sexually assaulted a 15 year old female not known to him. In 2000, Mattson was found guilty of Indecent Liberties by forcible compulsion for this crime and was sentenced to life without possibility of parole. However, in 2003 and appeals court granted him a 120 month sentence. In 1985, Mattson pled guilty to Statutory Rape first degree. Mattson was originally charged with kidnapping in the first degree and statutory rape in the first degree. According to official documents, Mattson asked the victim, a 6 year old female not known to him, to help find his dog and then led the victim to another location where he sexually assaulted her. Mattson was admitted to Western State Hospital for sex offender treatment. In April 1988 he was found not amenable to the treatment and was transferred to DOC to serve out his sentence until July of 1988. In 2008, Mattson, who was determined to meet the criteria of a Sexually Violent Predator, was confined at the Special Commitment Center. In July of 2014, Mattson was authorized to leave the Special Commitment Center (SCC) on McNeil Island for a Less Restrictive Alternative (LRA) placement and will reside at the Secure Community Transition Facility (SCTF) on McNeil Island. Mattson will be escorted when he leaves his secure housing. Due to Mattson's sexual criminal history he has been classified as a LEVEL 3 Sex Offender. " Probation Conditions Entered |
