| Comments: | AILEP, Matthew was convicted of Rape 1st Degree in the State of California in 1983. AILEP had broken into a neighbor's apartment and confronted the adult female victim while she was sleeping. AILEP had covered his face with a mask to hide his identity. He punched the victim in the face and threatened to kill victim and her 3-year-old son who was also sleeping on the bed. AILEP forced the victim into another bedroom and made her remove her clothing. AILEP continued to threaten the welfare of the victim and her son to gain compliance from the victim. AILEP again struck the victim and then sexually assaulted her. After the assault, AILEP demanded money from the victim. He told her not to report the incident or he would kill her. AILEP then fled the apartment and was later apprehended. AILEP was also convicted in California in 1978 of Assault to Commit Rape. In that case, AILEP had made contact with two females ages 18 and 19 that had been hitchhiking. He took the females to a friend's house and attempted to physically pull one of the females into the bathroom indicating that to the victim that they were going to have sex. When the victim refused he threatened her with a knife. The two females were able to break away and flee the residence. AILEP has an extensive criminal history and it does not appear that he has participated in any sex offender treatment programs. |
