| Probable cause affidavit: | Knowingly drive while his license was suspended, cancelled and/or revoked; to wit: On 09/02/14, having prior knowledge of the defendantâs license being suspended, I observed him leaving Probation and Parole. I initiated a traffic stop approached the vehicle. I asked the defendant why was he driving and he replied that he had to go to probation. I asked him why he was driving with a suspended license and he replied that he had no one else to drive him. He was double locked handcuffed and placed in the rear of my patrol car, while confirming his license was suspended. During this time, I called his parents to retrieve the vehicle and his father stated that he had offered to drive the defendant to probation but the defendant refused, stating he knew what he was doing. I asked the defendant if his father offered to drive him and he confirmed that he had. The defendant was transported to the County Jail without incident, where he was held in lieu of $1000 bond. On 08/28/14, the defendant was placed on Felony Probation for DWLS/R, case number 14-470 and violated his probation with this new law violation, bond set at for VOP. |
