Probable cause affidavit: SUBMITTED BY: ELDRIDGE, BRYAN 0722 (13-100573) (AR13-6623) DID UNLAWFULLY ENDANGER THE SAFETY OF ANOTHER OR THEIR PROPERTY WHILE INTOXICATED OR DID WHILE INTOXICATED OR DRINKING AN ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE IN A PUBLIC PLACE CAUSE A PUBLIC DISTURBANCE, IN VIOLATION OF FLORIDA STATE STATUTE NUMBER 856.011. ON 072613 AT APPROXIMATELY 1352 HOURS, I WAS DISPATCH TO 7801 EAST WATSON STREET, LOT 8B, INVERNESS, IN REFERENCE TO AN INTOXICATED MALE CAUSING A DISTURBANCE. PRIOR TO MY ARRIVAL I WAS ADVISED THAT THE SUSPECT HAD JUST BROKEN THE WINDOW TO ANOTHER MOBILE HOME. UPON ARRIVAL, I MADE CONTACT WITH THE DEFENDANT, MR MATTHEW DAVIS, WHO WAS STANDING PARTIALLY IN THE ROADWAY. THE DEFENDANT WAS BLEEDING FROM HIS LEFT HAND AND WAS VISIBLY INTOXICATED AND STILL YELLING AND SCREAMING PROFANITIES. DEFENDANT WAS ORDERED TO PLACE HIS HANDS BEHIND HIS BACK, WHICH HE WOULD NOT. HE WAS THEN ORDERED TO THE GROUND, AT WHICH TIME HE DID COMPLY AND PLACED HIS HANDS BEHIND HIS BACK. THE DEFENDANT ADVISED THAT PRIOR TO OUR ARRIVAL HE HAD DRANK TWO FOURLOCO. WHILE DEPUTY SLINGERLAND HANDCUFFED THE SUBJECT, EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES WAS CONTACTED IN REFERENCE TO THE DEFENDANT’S INJURIES. UPON EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES’ ARRIVAL, THE DEFENDANT WAS TREATED AND PLACED IN THE REAR OF MY PATROL VEHICLE FOR FURTHER INVESTIGATION. CONTACT WAS MADE WITH THE COMPLAINANT, MR MICHAEL LAWN, WHO ADVISED THAT HE WAS PATCHING A HOLE IN A ROOF JUST A FEW FEET AWAY FROM THE INCIDENT WHEN HE HEARD “IM GOING TO KILL YOU NIGGER”, THE COMPLAINANT STATED AT THAT TIME, HE CAME AROUND TO THE BACK OF THE MOBILE HOME PARK AND THE DEFENDANT WAS FIGHTING AND YELLING. THE COMPLAINANT ADVISED THAT SEVERAL NEIGHBORS HAD TO PULL THE DEFENDANT AWAY FROM LOT 8B. THE DEFENDANT CONTINUED TO YELL “IM GOING TO FUCKING KILL YOU NIGGER” OVER AND OVER AGAIN. THE COMPLAINANT ADVISED THAT HE TRIED TO CALM THE DEFENDANT DOWN, BUT WAS UNABLE TO DO SO. THE COMPLAINANT THEN CONTACTED THIS AGENCY DUE TO THE DEFENDANT CAUSING A DISTURBANCE INSIDE THE MOBILE HOME PARK UNTIL THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE ARRIVED. DEPUTY SLINGERLAND MADE CONTACT WITH THE RESIDENTS LOCATED AT 10B, WHERE THE DEFENDANT HAD BROKEN THE WINDOW. DEPUTY SLINGERLAND ADVISED THAT THEY DID NOT WISH TO PRESS CHARGES AND DID NOT WISH TO HAVE ANY INVOLVEMENT IN THE CASE. DUE TO THE DEFENDANT BEING HEAVILY INTOXICATED AND STILL CAUSING A DISTURBANCE, HE WAS ADVISED HE WAS BEING PLACED UNDER ARREST AND TRANSPORTED TO THE CITRUS COUNTY DETENTION FACILITY FOR BOOKING AND PROCESSING. THE DEFENDANT’S BOND WAS SET AT $150.00, PER THE BOND SCHEDULE.
