SUBMITTED BY: LAMBERT, BOBBY 0480 (AR10118459) DID UNLAWFULLY AND KNOWINGLY OBTAIN OR USE, OR ENDEAVOR TO OBTAIN OR USE THE PROPERTY OF THE VICTIM, WAL-MART, TO WIT: THREE PACKAGES OF FISHING LINE AND ONE PACKAGE OF FISHING BAIT, SAID PROPERTY BEING OF A VALUE OF $106.93, WITH THE INTENT TO EITHER TEMPORARILY OR PERMANENTLY DEPRIVE THE VICTIM OF A RIGHT TO THE PROPERTY OR A BENEFIT THEREOF, OR DID APPROPRIATE THE SAID PROPERTY TO HIS OWN USE OR THE USE OF ANY PERSON NOT ENTITLED THERETO, IN VIOLATION OF FLORIDA STATE STATUTES 812.014(1) and 812.014(3)(a). ON 121810, I WAS DISPATCHED TO WAL-MART LOCATED AT 2461 EAST GULF TO LAKE HIGHWAY, IN REFERENCE TO A RETAIL THEFT. UPON MY ARRIVAL, I MADE CONTACT WITH the COMPLAINANT/LOSS PREVENTION OFFICER, MR DALE WILLIAMS. MR WILLIAMS INFORMED ME THAT THE FEMALE HE HAS IN CUSTODY, LATER IDENTIFIED AS THE DEFENDANT MS MEGAN WRIGHT, WAS OBSERVED BY HIM IN THE SPORTING GOODS AREA. HE ADVISED THAT HE WITNESSED HER SELECT THREE PACKAGES OF FISHING LINE ALONG WITH A PACKAGE OF FISHING BAIT OFF the SHELF AND PLACE THEM IN HER PURSE. THE WITNESS STATED THAT HE FOLLOWED HER TO THE FRONT OF THE STORE, AT WHICH TIME SHE PAST ALL POINTS OF SALE AND DID LEAVE the STORE WITH the ITEMS. MR WILLIAMS INFORMED ME THAT the TOTAL VALUE FOR THE ITEMS WAS $106.93. MR WILLIAMS STATED THAT HE THEN MADE CONTACT WITH THE DEFENDANT AND DETAINED HER, AND THEN NOTIFIED THE SHERIFFS' OFFICE. I SPOKE WITH DEFENDANT WRIGHT, WHERE SHE WAS READ MIRANDA RIGHTS VIA A PREPRINTED CARD TO WHICH SHE STATED THAT SHE UNDERSTOOD AND AGREED TO SPEAK WITH ME. THE DEFENDANT ADVISED THAT SHE DID NOT HAVE ANY MONEY TO PAY FOR THE ITEMS AND THAT SHE DID PLACE THE ITEMS IN her PURSE IN ATTEMPT TO STEAL THEM. the DEFENDANT WAS THEN PLACED UNDER ARREST, HANDCUFFED (DOUBLE-LOCKED) BEHIND HER BACK and LATER TRANSPORTED TO THE CITRUS COUNTY DETENTION FACILITY FOR BOOKING AND PROCESSING. THE STOLEN PROPERTY WAS RETURNED TO the COMPLAINANT AND HE COMPLETED A WITNESS FORM ALONG WITH A PROPERTY RECEIPT, which WAS LATER TURNED IN TO THE CITRUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE RECORDS DEPARTMENT. THE DEFENDANT'S BOND WAS SET AT $250.00, PER THE BOND SCHEDULE.
