| Probable cause affidavit: | \tSUBMITTED BY: RODRIGUEZ, RONALD FHP (AR 14-11440) \tdid, knowing HIS driver's license or driving privilege had been cancelled, suspended or revoked AS A HABITUAL TRAFFIC OFFENDER, drive a motor vehicle upon the highways of this state while such license or privilege was cancelled, in violation of Florida Statute 322.34(5) On August 2nd 2014 at approximately 10:10pm, I, Trooper Ronald Rodriguez, conducted a traffic stop on a white Cadillac bearing a Florida tag of E736QJ on State Road 44, approximately 1 mile West of N Meadowcrest BLVD in Citrus County, Florida. I initially observed the vehicle traveling eastbound in the inside lane of State Road 44. The vehicle had no visible tail lights on. Based on that violation, I conducted a traffic stop in a parking lot located adjacent to N Meadowcrest BLVD. I walked up to the vehicle and asked for the driver's license, registration, and insurance for the vehicle. The driver, identified as MICHAEL J ALMEIDA through DAVID and FCIC, told me that he did not have a driver's license. I asked him if it was suspended and he replied "yes." I looked at DAVID and saw a previous Driving While License Suspended charge and numerous revocations on Mr. Almeida's driving record. I placed Mr. Almeida under arrest at approximately 10:30pm for the Driving While License Suspended 2nd Offense. He was also booked into the Citrus County Jail on the listed charge.
