| Comments: | STAUDINGER, Michael Paul was convicted of Child Molestation 1st Degree in 1992. STAUDINGER sexually molested a 6 year old neighbor girl who was visiting at his residence. The victim had been playing at the residence with other children when STAUDINGER told the other children to go for a walk. STAUDINGER then took the victim into his residence and pulled down her pants and sexually assaulted her. STAUDINGER had gained access to the victim by befriending the victim's parents and winning their trust to allow STAUDINGER to get the victim alone so that he could sexually abuse her. In treatment, STAUDINGER admitted to sexually abusing this victim on 45-50 separate occasions. In 1988, STAUDINGER (age 16) was convicted of Child Molestation 1st Degree when he sexually molested a 6-7 year old neighbor girl. He was playing with the victim and her friends in a field nearby their homes. STAUDINGER kissed the victim and fondled her in a sexual manner. He also attempted to get the victim and her friends to touch him in a sexual manner. In 1989, STAUDINGER was convicted of Indecent Liberties ' 2 counts. The offenses happened when STAUDINGER was age 14 in 1985 and the sexual abuse occurred several times over a two year period. STAUDINGER sexually abused two female relatives ages 5 and 7. The abuse included fondling and sexual intercourse with both the victims. STAUDINGER pled guilty to the two counts of Indecent Liberties (pertaining to the older victim). STAUDINGER has also self-disclosed several other sexual abuse incidents involving other victims in his past. He has admitted to having approximately 21 additional victims. STAUDINGER's criminal history includes a 1991 Forgery and a 1984 Theft 3rd Degree convictions. STAUDINGER participated in sex offender treatment while incarcerated in prison. Records indicate that STAUDINGER did not make any substantial progress in his treatment and he was deemed to be a high risk to reoffend. STAUDINGER will be under community supervision by the Washington State Department of Corrections. Due to STAUDINGER's sexual criminal history, he has been classified as a LEVEL 3 Sex Offender. This allows the Pierce County Sheriff's Department to disclose relevant, necessary, and accurate information to the public at large. |
